MEET SOPHIE
Sophie had the advantage of her Dad being a ski instructor – so she’s been skiing from a young age in the Scottish mountains, abroad and on dry slopes.
She competed in school races as well as being part of her local race group, Gordon Skiers, before deciding to take things further and become a ski instructor with Peak Leaders.
Sophie is fluent in English and Dutch and has had a load of experience teaching on dry slopes in Scotland during the Summer months.
She loves improving her clients’ skiing and building their confidence just as much as she loves training. So working and living in the snowy mountains is her perfect home.
When Sophie’s not skiing she’ll still be exploring the outdoors – whether it’s up a hill or a mountain, on a bike or on a horse, as well making memories with her loved ones.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?
“For me when you can get a space at Dahu the pizzas are incredible! Especially if you’re sitting outside with a view!”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?
“I love exploring the itinerary runs with friends – it’s such a great challenge!”
WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?
“I can’t say I have a favourite après – as long as I’m with a great group of people, I’ll always have fun!”
WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?
“Don’t forget there are picnic rooms dotted around the slopes where you can stop for a snack or have a packed lunch or just warm up! So you don’t always have to queue for ages for a table at a restaurant. It’s a great solution if you’re skiing with little ones – plus you can maximise your skiing time!”
