CHLOE

Olly - Private ski instructor Verbier

MEET CHLOE

Chloe grew up in the United Kingdom, giving her easy access to ski different resorts across Europe.

She first fell in love with skiing at just three years old and made it official aged 20 – completing her first season as a ski instructor in Verbier.

Even while building a career in Property Development Chloe could never shake the urge to return to the mountains. So she continued to fly back and forth during peak weeks to teach each season. But she’s made the move back to Verbeir full the full winter and she’s is excited to help others grow their skills and their love for skiing.

When she’s not on the slopes, Chloe is usually in the gym lifting weights, out on a walk with her dog (called Atlas), or taking photos to fuel her passion for editing.

Whenever she gets the chance, she loves travelling with Atlas and her husband, soaking up as much culture as possible.

SOME LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?

“For restaurants up the mountain, it’s a tough call — they are all amazing.

If I had to choose, it would be between the Dahu for its access and variety of food, La Marmotte because it has the most incredible local cuisine, and Cabin Mont Fort for the excellent ski-in, ski-out view.

(But make sure you check with your instructors if they will be able to take you to these restaurants though, because some can be tricky to get to!)

Meanwhile, if you’re in town and looking for a dinner spot, you have to try Al Capone — their ‘Poulet au panier’ is legendary.”

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?

“The 4 Vallées has a lot to offer. I think my favourite area is Bruson — it’s a little quieter and has some steep piste terrain, which is great for challenging intermediate to advanced skiers.”

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?

“Le Rouge in the sun is always a lovely option, or if you’re looking for a more lively night, Pub Mont Fort does lots of themed nights as well as dart competitions, which are always great fun to get involved with.”

WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?

“Make sure to keep your head up because the views are spectacular no matter where you go!

I would also definitely suggest picking an instructor that suits your personality as soon as you can — it will give you a friend in town who can show you the best spots for skiing and offer advice for your evening plans – as well as helping you take your skiing to a new level.”
