MEET MADELEINE
Madeleine started skiing when she was 4 years old with her family in the French Pyrenees – and as her parents met on the slopes in Andorra, she was destined for a life in the mountains.
She first visited Verbier in 2007 for a holiday and fell in love with the place. In 2010 she moved to Verbier to train and qualify as a Ski Instructor and has been living and teaching here on and off ever since.
Madeleine enjoys teaching all levels but she’s passionate about the technical details and helping to build confidence on the slopes.
When Madeleine is not teaching skiing, you will find her upside down or in the air as she trains and coaches gymnastics and Acroyoga (partner acrobatics).
She also loves to hike, camp, climb, dance, paint, play music and do handstands wherever she can!

SOME LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?
“The Dahu restaurant in La Chaux is one my favourite spots to stop. The view is spectacular and the food is amazing but it’s also accessible to everyone to meet for lunch – including people who aren’t skiing. Chez Danny is another favourite of mine as it gives the feeling of being more secluded in nature and is always in the sun.”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?
“I don’t have a favourite place to ski as such, but I love that the ski area is so big that there is always a hot spot to head to depending on the conditions.”
WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?
“A few of my favourites (depending on my mood) are the 1936 tee-pee on the mountain for the epic views, Lumi for their sunny terrace or the pub for their fire pits.”
WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?
“Get your lunch time restaurants booked up at the beginning of your trip to ensure you get to experience all the best places to eat on the mountain!”
