OSCAR

Oscar - Private ski instructor Verbier

MEET OSCAR

Oscar has lived in Copenhagen his whole life, but due to the lack of mountains in Denmark his skiing journey started with trips to Sweden and Norway from the age of 3.

Growing up he played a lot of basketball, eventually becoming a basketball coach because of his passion for teaching. Then, after finishing education, he decided to become a ski instructor in Verbier.

He loves helping people push their boundaries and to see them progress, whether its on the slopes or on the basketball court.

During summer he’s in Scandinavia spending time playing basketball, kayaking and hiking.

SOME LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?

“My favourite restaurant is Dahu for sure. It has great pizza, and absolutely stunning views.”

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?

“I love Lac de Vaux. As well as good intermediate pistes, it’s a great place to start skiing bumps (or maybe even drop a few cliffs). With two short lifts – including the new 6 man to Col de Chassoure – it’s perfect for lapping!”

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?

“It has to be Lumi, great place to hang out, especially on their terrace in spring. It is perfect for eating their amazing fries, and having a beer in the sun.”

WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?

“Verbier is a big resort with a lot to offer, so to get the most out of your holiday it’s a good idea to book an instructor who knows the best spots.”
