Snow in Verbier

CONDITIONS ARE GETTING BETTER AND BETTER

For two weekends in a row the resort has been open and we’ve had a load of snow.

How much? Well estimates are that over 40cm fell in resort this weekend and plenty more had been falling before that up top.

And because it’s been cold the snow cannons are firing and the snow is looking good all the way to resort – although skiing all the way down right now would be a bit too punchy and might end up in a trip to get a few rocks removed from your bases…

Despite the heavy falls the full week-long opening is still anticipated to be from the 30th November – sometimes when the snow is good The Powers That Be allow the resort to open all week during November, but so far they can’t be persuaded.

Meanwhile the Verbier weather forecasts are for the weather to stay really cold for the next ten days, so we should see the snow stay and consolidate everywhere.

So just to keep you up to speed here’s a selection of pictures from the weekend’s skiing and the views this morning from resort.
